Bobble Stitch
Name: Bobble Stitch
A.K.A: Popcorn Stitch or DC5tog

The Bobble Stitch is an extremely fun stitch to have in your repertoire! It's playful, 3D and very squidgy!
Kids love the texture it creates and therefore it's a great stitch to use for little blankets or fun pillows!

To start 'bobbling' away you need very little basic stitch knowlegde. You need to know how to: chain, single crochet and double crochet. The rest you'll learn in the video we've made for you.

Written pattern to use alongside the video to make your own swatch:

Chain 12 + 1 + 2 = 15.
You can make it as wide as you want, as long as you chain multiples of 4 and at the end add 3 more chains (1 + 2)

Round 1: dc into 4th chain from hook and in each chain across. (13 sts)
Round 2: ch 1 (does not count as a sc), sc into first 2 sts. *Bobble stitch into next stitch, sc into next 3 sts*. Repeat between * and * until you have 3 sts left.
Bobble stitch into next stitch. sc into next 2 sts. (13 sts)
Round 3: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), dc into every stitch skipping the first one. (13 sts)
Round 4: ch 1 (does not count as a sc), sc into first 4 sts. *Bobble stitch into next stitch, sc into next 3 sts*. Repeat between * and * until you have 5 sts left.
Bobble stitch into next stitch. sc into next 4 sts. (13 sts)
Round 5: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), dc into every stitch skipping the first one. (13 sts)
Repeat Round 2 till 5 until you've reached the length you're happy with! Fasten off and sew in your ends.
